Real Relationship with God

knowing God personally; relationship not religion; sharing your story; from belonging to believing.

Romans 8:15 NLT
“So you have not received a spirit of fearful slavery.  Instead, you received God’s Spirit when He adopted you as His own children. Now we call him, ‘Abba, Father’”

Intimate relationship with God starts with knowing who we are and who’s we are.  Romans 8:15 tells us that we have received a ‘spirit of adoption’. He sees us as sons and daughters and heirs to His throne.  When we have a revelation that we are truly known, loved and seen by God, we can then start to live a life of authenticity – using our God given gifts and talents – and begin to truly live.

There were times in my life when I felt there was a disconnect between my prayers and all of heaven.  I thought Jesus might be too busy to care about my trivial prayers. I wondered if I was doing enough to please Him and feared failing or letting God down.  It was freeing to finally understand He was just waiting for me to give Him my whole heart, and be truly willing to call Him ‘Abba, Father’.  We are not meant to live a life of fear but of peace despite the storms that come our way.

True surrender and alignment with His will brings a deeper sense of freedom, purpose and connection to God, knowing you are loved as His child.
